the work
I tell stories where the vast and the intimate are inseparable.
Whether rooted in myth, legend, or daily life, my work explores the forces that shape us—GODS + MONSTERS, FATE v. FREE WILL, HISTORY & CULTURE. I am drawn to the EPIC and to the fractures in relationships, the unspoken desires that change everything. My work lives at this intersection: where the grand meets the deeply personal, where scale and intimacy collide to reveal what it means to be human.

THE USHER IMMERSIVE
THE USHER IMMERSIVE: USHH BACKSTORY PASS was a VIP Pre-Show Experience designed with the 8-Time Grammy Award Winner and sponsored by Rémy Martin. Maythinee served as dramaturg, Associate Director and Resident Director during the creation and execution. Taking place over three key spaces—themed PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE—guests could explore and interact with characters embodying the history of hip hop & R&B through Usher’s curated point of view. Located in the basement of Caesar’s Palace, this was a first-of-its-kind, unprecedented production where even the STAR himself might pop up before his sold out Residency at the Coliseum.
